Join Nelvana's musical director Norm Beaver, and award winning composer Tim Foy as they share their industry experience (and secrets) of scoring a cartoon. In this workshop Norm and Tim will start off with some musical info and history, then take you from what is called "Spotting" a cartoon, to building the melody or theme song, to the final mixing. They'll show how music impacts the final story line; the Production process and the composers involvement; and the business decisions required to attract competent composers and songwriters. From theme songs to underscore, join them and learn the who’s, what’s and why’s of music. Tim will be scoring a Seneca College 2D cartoon entitled "Draw the Line_" by Naseer Pasha, under the musical direction of Norm. It's going to be a good one!
