Reviving a headstrong dinosaur was no easy feat. requiring a team of artists, savvy to the needs of recreating the look and feel of an historic film. Directed by Barnabas Wornoff, Gertie and her “...broke and balding grandson Gordie”, were brought to life for TAAFI 2014's opening ceremonies by a small and mighty team!
This time, the stellar boutique studio TINMAN CREATIVE brought the 2014 poster and film to life using both physical and digital cameras and lighting on a miniature set. A set which attendees had the privilege of taking their picture with at this past fest.
"We're a group of likeminded animators, and the film is really just a codified way for us CRAZY HORSES to have some fun. We all love animation, and are pretty unhappy with the state of the industry today. Eye of Mubala is our attempt at taking an idea that we're in love with and sharing it for the only reason that should matter, so that people can enjoy quality hand-drawn animation uninfluenced by money"
