Another marvelous feature is coming to this year's Mega Fest! Sunburnt Unicorn is a feature-length animated film written and directed by Calgary-native cartoonist Nick Johnson and presented in association with Squid Brain Studios and New Machine Studios! 

 Inspired by the family-adventure films of the 1980s, such as Return to Oz, The Neverending Story, and The Secret of Nimh, this charming animated coming of age tale is the perfect fit for all our wonderful attendees who love the fantasy genre!

 Lost in an endless desert, an injured teenager adopts the identity of a mythical Unicorn to survive surreal encounters and rescue his father from the Cactus King.
