Michel Gagné, born in Québec, Canada, is a renowned artist and animator with a career spanning over three decades. A graduate of Sheridan College School of Visual Arts, Michel has contributed his unique vision to studios like Don Bluth, Warner Bros., Disney, Pixar, Cartoon Network, and Sony. His work features in iconic films such as The Iron Giant, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Osmosis Jones, and Ratatouille.

Beyond animation, Michel is a versatile creator. He co-developed the acclaimed video game Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet and has authored numerous comics and books published by DC Comics, Random House, and his own imprint, GAGNE International Press. His work has earned prestigious awards, including a BAFTA and an Annie Award.

Now based in the Pacific Northwest, Michel is directing a 2D hand-drawn feature film adaptation of his graphic novel The Saga of Rex while continuing to collaborate with the film industry.
