Vanessa Esteves is the founder and Chief Story Architect of Add the Dog Inc., a creative studio dedicated to telling dynamic stories for kids that meet them where they are. An award-winning writer, producer, and director, Vanessa is known for her ability to create engaging, meaningful content that truly connects with young audiences.

Previously, she was Head of Production at Nelvana, where she oversaw a wide slate of 2D and 3D animated projects, from series and specials to short-form digital content. Her work spans both toyetic brands and bespoke original properties across all age groups. Vanessa also co-created and served as showrunner on the animated series Super Wish, helping to bring a fresh, imaginative voice to children’s television.

Vanessa’s most recent film, Christopher & the Bug, has been screened at over 33 international festivals and has won 8 awards, further cementing her reputation as a thoughtful, innovative storyteller in kids’ media.
