Virginie Lavallée is a PhD Candidate in Film and Moving Image Studies at Concordia University, where her research examines how the platformization of digital content consumption is reshaping animation production business models and monetization strategies.

She is the co-founder of The Happy Producers, an online training and professional development initiative that designs industry-focused curricula and provides continuous education in project management and business development for animation and VFX professionals. Through strategic training programs, and applied learning frameworks, the initiative supports more sustainable production practices and stronger entrepreneurial capacity within creative teams.

Bridging research and industry practice, Virginie is also a producer with over 15 years of experience across live-action and CG animation, with credits including collaborations with major partners such as Disney, Netflix, and HBO.
