Bouchera Tahraoui

Bouchera is an Algerian filmmaker and artist born in Montreal. By day, she works in the feature animation industry as a 3D character artist at Mikros Animation on TMNT Mutant Mayhem 2. In her own time, she writes and develops projects independently for short-films, television and comics. Dolly Baby, her animated series in development, was been selected as one of the 8 semi-finalists for the 'Pitch THIS!' at TAC for OIAF 2025.

Her latest short film screened at BAFTA-qualifying Film Festivals and won at CSA-qualifying Cinéfest Sudbury. She also created a short comic that placed in the Top 10 of the Quebec comic creation contest 'Bourse Manga O-TAKU 2022', which later went on to be published in Isekai Touch and featured at MCAF 2025.

When she’s not doodling or writing her characters while listening to French North African diaspora rap, she can usually be found emptying her paycheck at the movie theater. You should talk to her about movies.
