Celeste Koon

Celeste is a mixed-race Writers Guild of Canada, Youth Media Alliance, and Canadian Screen Award nominated kids TV writer focused on creating fantastic content full of heart and humour. She’s the creator of tween animated digital series Armadillo Avalanche (Blue Ant Media) and co-creator of stop-motion animated preschool series Bumpadoo! (Turtlebox Productions, TVOKids). She’s also written scripts for numerous Canadian and international broadcasters and production companies including Turtlebox Productions, Sesame Workshop, Sinking Ship Entertainment, Boat Rocker Studios, Cheeky Little Media, CBC Kids, ABC Australia, and the BBC. Celeste has been a part of the Nickelodeon Content Accelerator Pitch, shortlisted for the Sundance Episodic Lab, and was a 2022 Netflix x Banff Diversity of Voices delegate. Celeste currently has projects optioned and in development and is working on her first graphic novel!

When not writing, Celeste can be found unicycling through the woods or cuddled up reading comics with her rabbit Twig.
