Mike Shiell

Mike Shiell is a children’s book author/illustrator, cartoonist, character designer, director, and animation creative with 30+ years of experience bringing characters and stories to life across publishing, television, and licensed products.

Mike has illustrated 11 popular and award-winning children’s books and authored/illustrated three more. His titles include Linty: A Pocketful of Adventure, Poopy, Germy and Stinky Science, and three books in Ashley Spires’ Agent Binky series.

In animation, he has held senior creative and leadership roles on Emmy Award-winning and internationally successful productions such as The Backyardigans and Mike the Knight and he has created two original series of award winning animated shorts.

Along the way, Mike has also written and illustrated greeting cards that have sold hundreds of thousands of copies worldwide.

Mike currently spends his time developing new kids’ books, greeting cards and whatever creative adventure that that get his creative juices flowing.
